Hey all! Happy October. I think October is a favorite month for many people, and that is something we can find common ground on. Always looking for something to bring us together as Humans.

Anyway I finally found a gallery creation tool that makes sense to me, (obviously I have no clue what Im doing on the site, I am learning, slowly, what I can do with what I have here) FooGallery works and my art is coming back on line. Soon I’ll have even more up than what I had before the site broke. Yay!

While I have been somewhat busy doing the business of art, I haven’t really been creating art, Im hoping that will be ending soon. I have a commission to do a painting of a Bullmastiff, (pretty sure thats what he is) and Im hoping to paint him BIG like my Howdy Doody painting.

My Son Max and I had a successful show a few weeks ago. This was Max’s first time showing his work to the public. The paintings were originally meant only to be little lessons in painting, Laws of Light, and the beginnings of color theory, but when we gathered all our images together they were really quite charming, and so decided to share them.

I’m hoping to encourage Max to do more this year. Also the idea of home shows seemed to work well. We both made sales and we had no commission to pay, no stress of meeting others deadlines, just a nice experience. So I will be trying that out for a while too. Of course Im not giving up on Galleries, just adding to my options for sales.
